Artwavesa frequent look at Humboldt County'svisual, performing and written arts events ...
See, this page used to have content. Pretty good content, if I do say so myself. Hmm.
Well, I delayed removing this page because I had fallen in love with the background design -- a product of my very own creation during the infant days of my introduction to the WWW.
And so this page stayed, though it had nothing to say, except for Mr. Hokusai back there in the background, behind The Wave. Sad, don't you think? Maybe not.
Now I could have said all this in fewer words, I know, especially since I firmly believe that brevity is the sine qua non of elegance, and elegance is in many ways the highest good. Well, okay, in my opinion at any rate.
All my life I have cultivated brevity, if not elegance, beginning with my very own stature. If it seems that I have orbited out into a bit too much compensatory volubility here, it is only to show that opposites attract, at least sometimes, maybe even most of the time, and that the happy medium is an elusive goal, mostly, as elusive as the just society, which awaits even now the arrival of the True Messiah, etc., etc.
Well, you get the idea. And if this were a dinner toast or a political rally, you'd be falling asleep by now.
So, enjoy this page for what it's worth, which is not much, or at least not if you're in a great hurry, or whatever, and when you're done enjoying it, by all means move on to one of my other pages whose content presents itself in ways less abstruse than this one. Yeah, I know, you have to go look it up. Well, all right then, come back when you're done, then move on to my other pages and then, finally, ask yourself the great question you could have asked yourself in the very beginning, if you'd had the gumption, "Why am I doing this?"
Hey, thanks for visiting and, please, don't take offense. Then again, do go ahead and take offense. What do I care, anyhow? Etc., etc.
