THE LIVING EPITAPH
Take your life, right where you're sitting now,
and project it out to the time your body dies.
What would you say then, in a few words,
to the world?
What's your truth at the end of your life?
What are these words that will last longer
on this earth than YOU ever did?
Think about it.
What does this do?
It asks you to be the kind of human being now
that you would like to have been
after it's all over.
It demands that you live the rest of your life
so that those words do, in fact,
become your truth, day by day, until you die.
It obliges you to be yourself.
THE LIVING EPITAPH is a concept
for people like you, who feel ready
to begin knowing and being themselves.
THE LIVING EPITAPH is a living concept:
it refines itself as it goes, like a beacon,
in front of each moment.
Look, there are no rules.
This is first and foremost a fun thing:
you can be flippant, you can be bawdy,
you can be romantic, heroic, or saintly.
It's your life, after all.
To be yourself:
what a gift!
If you could visit your grave now,
what would you want to say to yourself?
THE LIVING EPITAPH.
GO FOR IT.
