I travel widely and read profusely in all fields, and I deal fearlessly
with people high and low. These are some areas in which I have made
bad
mistakes or in which I have knowledge, experience, or fun -- not
necessarily in that order:
- Interviewing
- Listening -- and questioning assumptions
- Editorial work, including translation of jargon into English and
vice
versa
- Tour guiding, travel writing and photography
- Forecasting odds: I quote 'em, you beat 'em.
- Weddings and wakes: Have suit, will travel.
- Epitaphs for humans, inhumans and intangibles
- Dancing on the head of a pin with the other angels
